Boston-native Dang Clēts have released their debut self-titled four-track EP Dang Clēts in June. Check out the fun tunes here:
The EP starts off with “Lines,” a song that is a smooth synth-based inspired track with guitar-jangled pop. The entire EP was made to be the soundtrack of a summer outing, encompassing the light-hearted joys and splendors of an outing in the sun. The production puts the vocals up front that carry each song through interesting melodies and upbeat riffs.
The band consists of James Forward, Jake Mills, and Connor Cunningham, who met for the first time as college freshmen in Boston. In the beginning, they formed their first band Waldo and worked their way up (winning Battle of the Bands at Tufts University), eventually opening for The New Pornographers and Childish Gambino. Now under the moniker Dang Clēts, the trio is continuing to make new music in their Somerville home. For a casual, easy listening experience, be sure to check out Dang Clēts self-titled EP.
