Cinematic folk artist East of Eli (Nathan West) released his single “Nowhere” featuring his wife Chyler Leigh who stars on CW’s Supergirl. Check out the first single from his upcoming sophomore album here:
“Nowhere” was made in tribute to his wife as a gift for Valentine’s day and for being his inspiration, muse and biggest fan. Nathan said, “Love, I want you to know, I’m always thinking of you and just how thankful I am to be able to share this life with you and my love for you knows no boundaries!” The track begins with an electronic backdrop that introduces West’s calm vocals among the clouds. The chorus kicks in with Hip-Hop beats and ethereal guitars that add an epic atmosphere. Chyler’s vocals compliment Nathan’s and they work well in tandem. Her singing debut could be the beginning of a new career path.
The song was made as a reminder of their devotion to one another despite the challenges that come with both having careers in entertainment.
“Nowhere is a song about how true love knows no boundaries,” Nathan said. “I invited Chyler to be featured on the track to create a haunting vocal presence that would represent the idea that when you are alone and you think about your lover, they are thinking of you. Her performance is very honest and heartfelt which is exactly tone and feel I wanted to capture within the story and production.”
