Fans of Weezer and The Pixies gather round for the Hamilton-based indie rock band Tripper and the Wild Things, which has just released its single “Get Burnt” from the upcoming “Fever Dreams EP.” Check out the song below:
The group began in 2019 with the release of their self-titled album, followed with 2020’s
EP “Boomerang Kids,” providing a unique blend of 90s alternative and surf rock with
stories about adulthood, relationships, and growing up in suburban Ontario.
“Get Burnt” is a fast-tempo rocker featuring deep lyrical musings making listeners reflect upon time passing by, while also providing uplifting sonic waves to make anyone jump around. The track was a transitional song for the band as it was one of the first songs written after adding a new member, and no matter how many additions they make, their love for music shines strong with every note.
