Luchi Lets it All Out in “Web of Lies”

After a six month Hiatus, singer-songwriter and Glasgow-native Luchi is back with “Web of Lies,” a new track that shows off an edgier side than what his fans are accustomed to. The song is available now on all streaming platforms.

“Web of Lies” stems from a bad breakup in Luchi’s life that was built upon many lies, so many that it had become a web. He said that writing this song, as well as all his music, is like free therapy, allowing him to get over tough experiences.

Luchi explains, “The song opens with how you fall into the trap as I am an over sharer and often will tell you my life story after only knowing you five minutes but that’s great for a narcissist who will then use that to play on all your insecurities. It weaves through all the games and manipulation sadly a lot of us experience in relationships and as the song goes on, the power builds up which I love and you finally say enough is enough and walk away from a toxic situation.”

And the message comes in fast, opening with the lyric “Karma’s coming for you” along to a hypnotic beat. Luchi’s vocals are clean and crisp, mixed with modern production techniques. Once into the groove, the catchy chorus kicks in and the pain of his words can be felt twisting like a knife. The breakdown “All you gave me was halfway devotion, led me on when you couldn’t commit” shows his vulnerability, and it’s songs like this that can help others deal with their own healing process.

“Web of Lies” overall features mature songwriting within an aura of echoing drums, tender chords and a soulful vocal experience that sets him apart from his contemporaries. It’s no wonder why the song has shot up on the No. 2 slot of the iTunes Singer/Songwriter charts. We look forward to hearing more of Luchi’s upcoming releases.
